The four page brochure shown below on the left was handed out by the Navy seeking qualified volunteers to pursue Primary Gunnery Training. If chosen the candiate would receive their initial training at NATTC. Then if the candidate met all the requirements they would be sent for secondary training at one of the Free Gunnery Schools like the one in Purcell, Oklahoma. This training was in additional to the candidate's AMM, AOM, or AM training as no rating existed for Aviation Gunner. Also below is the actual aircraft recognition handout used by NATTC during Primary Gunnery Training.
